Time for a Fresh Start!!

It is the eve of New Year’s Eve and I am so excited to say that I am officially all moved into my new apartment! I cannot wait to move up there after all the festivities at home and starting a new chapter in my life. One that requires me to be on my own…scary! Pictures to come soon!!! New Year’s eve is tomorrow and I am super ready to start a new to “start fresh” which I will most defiantly be doing! I have been thinking really hard for the last couple of week as to a good New Year’s Resolution for personal and blog related. Here is what I have finally decided:

Personal:
1. The start eating healthy and start working out and get back into shape
2. Be Happy!
3. Start up an etsy business (something I have been wanting to do for a while now)
Blog Related:
1. Reach 200 followers
2. Host a give away
3. Meet amazing new friends via blogging!

I will be taking a short break from blogging to spend these last few days with my family and friends. Happy New Year’s to everyone and hope it is simply wonderful!! See you guys in 2012.

Do you love birthdays?

This morning I was doing my daily blog read and saw over at Coffee at Nordstom that she was sending birthday cards to all her blog friends and I thought it was a great idea! So I do not take any credit for this idea it was all her (: But I figured it would be a good idea to keep up with all my blog friends birthdays and get a nifty little card because I always love getting birthday cards! And I thought this would be a cool idea to add to my blog New Year’s Resolution list.  So if you would like to receive one from me also just comment on here telling me when your birthday is, how old you will be turning and also your email address.

I will email you at the beginning of your birthday month and get your address to where I can send your card!

How was your Christmas?

So Christmas is over now and things are getting back to normal for me. I received some gifts from Santa again this year because I have been good I suppose (: He brought me an awesome new Nikon camera that I absolutely adore and a ton of socks! My parents and grandparents got me a Bauble Lulu bracelet with a few charms, clothes, money, scarves and also some movies. I am so thankful for all my parents have done for me this year and I love them dearly!

Now it is time to start packing since I move into my new apartment on Thursday OF THIS WEEK!! And I have packed one box so far…yeah I am a little behind. But, then I will super ready to bring in the New Year and start a new yearly to do list. I am mostly excited to pick out the outfit that I will be wearing and it might even call for a shopping trip!

It's about that time!

Thank goodness it is Friday! All this hustle and bustle of Christmas spirit is wearing me out. But today I have gotten a lot of things accomplished, Christmas wise and packing wise, and crafting wise. Which are all good things! I also meet up with my best friend today to go to lunch and exchange Christmas presents! It was a great time to catch up and just hang out and relax. For my gift which was actually a birthday/Christmas present she got me an ASU cup and a picture frame! The best part is that she always knows exactly what I want and this time she nailed it! I have been considering buying this cup for quite some time now.

Also,  today I got a little more Christmas shopping done but I am not quite finished yet! Cleaned house to surprise my mother when she got home from work (she is a sucker for someone who will clean the house for her). The before the Christmas party we attended I snuck in a little crafting time! (which was super fun!) This idea came from pintrest (of course), and it turned out wonderfully!

Since it is Christmas Eve tomorrow I am going to be taking a break from blogging until the day after Christmas to spend time with my family and friends. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS YA’LL!

That Christmas is two days away.

That I have made to much holiday candy.
That I am completely freaking out about moving next week.
That I spend way to much time on pintrest.
That I have found a complete love with blogging.
That I secretly want to move to California and be an eye doctor and just be happy because I can!

The Week Before Christmas!

It is Monday and the week before Christmas! That just makes me so happy! Today my sister and I spent the day shopping for our family gifts and wrapping them and making them look beautiful and all. It was great bonding time with her since we haven’t seen each other in a while now. Tomorrow we are having family pictures and baking time to make goodies for all the Christmas parties we are attending this week/weekend. And of course the week before Christmas wouldn’t be the same without some Christmas crafts!

What kind of things do you do to week before Christmas?

So close to Christmas!

It is getting so close to Christmas and I am getting so excited! I have finally started my Christmas shopping for my family and I am nowhere close to done. But in the midst of all this Christmas spirit I have been preparing for the big move to college in the mountains! I am also so excited about that but super nervous because I have never been away from my parents for that long and it is going to so super hard. But I will have my best friend so that will make it a little better. But, back to all things Christmas….tomorrow all the Christmas festivities start! All things family and friends mixed with Christmas cheer! And the best part is baking with my grandmother, which just happens to be the best part of Christmas!

The Last Few Days!

Saturday was a pretty hard day for my family. My great grandmother passed away and it was pretty hard for everyone. I was not that close to her as I was with my other great grandmother, but I still loved her like no other! And Sunday everyone stopped by with food and to just to tell the family they were thinking about us.
On Monday I had my last exam at 8AM then I came home to spend some quality home with my oh so lovely boy Mac. I love this dog so much (:

So today was my birthday! I left my teen years for my twenties...YIKES! But, it was a great birthday with my family but my sister was not able to make it because of her exams. I got a small monogrammed ring (which I LOVE), a few clothes, some money, and a snow jacket and boots for Boone! So, tomorrow is back to the daily duties as a 20 year old! That just sounds so weird (:

My Birthday Outfit!

(excuse the dirty mirror please (:)

LOVE my ring (:

Hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend!

How do you celebrate the Holidays?

Fabulous Holiday Blog Challenge

Today’s topic is how do you celebrate the holidays? On the eve of Christmas eve we always attend out church’s Christmas play. Then on Christmas eve we have a dinner with my mother’s side of the family and we play games until the wee hours of the morning. Then Christmas morning we have breakfast with my dad’s brother and his girlfriend, and my mother’s parents. Then we all exchange gifts. Pretty much my Christmas consists of family and just being together! Which I love!

Favorite Holiday Desert/Treat Recipe

Fabulous Holiday Blog Challenge

Today has been crazy busy! Exams started today and the last little bit of work I had to finish for classes! I am so glad it is almost over for my birthday and Christmas! My mom even asked for a Christmas list today….hardest thing I have done in a while! But, I have made it through the day and I am back for day 6 of Neely’s Fabulous Holiday Challenge! Today’s topic is Favorite Holiday Desert/Treat Recipe. Since I love peanuts I have to say peanut brittle is my favorite Christmas treat!

1 ½ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ½ cups sugar
1 cup water
1 cup light corn syrup
3tbsp. butter or margarine
1 pound shelled unroasted peanuts

1.    Heat oven to 200ºF. Butter 2 cookie sheets, 15 1/2x12 inches, and keep warm in oven. Mix baking soda, 1 teaspoon water and the vanilla; reserve.
2.    Mix sugar, 1 cup water and the corn syrup in 3-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, to 240ºF on candy thermometer or until small amount of syrup dropped into very cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when removed from water.
3.     Stir in butter and peanuts. Cook, stirring constantly, to 300ºF or until small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water separates into hard, brittle threads. (Watch carefully so mixture does not burn.) Immediately remove from heat. Quickly stir in baking soda mixture until light and foamy.
4.    Pour half the candy mixture onto each cookie sheet; quickly spread about 1/4 inch thick. Cool completely, at least 1 hour. Break into pieces. Store in covered container.

A Little Bit of Everything!

Exams start next week….YIKES! I have been studying all day and I thought I could use a little break to read some blogs. Well that little break has turned into about two hours now…whoops. But anyways, only two more days of school and I will be finished for Christmas and getting ready to transfer! Which I am so excited to be doing!

I am seriously addicted to monogrammed things! Just add it to my Christmas list mommy (:

Love this! Just because it is covered in glitter!
I can not tell you how many people I want to say this to!
